UWCRC is a non-profit organization dedicated to building sustainable communities where people are connected, supported, and empowered to thrive together.

With its mixed-income housing model, Downtown Commons brings together residents from a wide range of cultural, economic, and social backgrounds, creating a welcoming and inclusive community. The building offers thoughtfully designed one, two, and three-bedroom apartments that support family living while meeting the diverse needs of its residents.

Downtown Commons provides a range of housing options, including Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI), affordable, and market rental units. This mixed-income approach supports students, families, individuals, and seniors who want to live, work, and study in the heart of downtown. It is designed to foster a sustainable, inclusive community where people from all walks of life can thrive while enjoying the convenience of urban living.

Through the Affordable Housing Program, Downtown Commons offers designated suites with affordable rents for University of Winnipeg student couples and student family households. A selection of suites is also available through the Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) program for eligible households. The remaining suites are available to the broader community at market rental rates, ensuring a diverse and vibrant community for all residents.
